WHAT
You Are Worthy, Incorporated (YAW) is a new organization developed to help youth of color ages 12-24, who self-identify as one or more of the following:
- Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA),
- Raped/molestation survivor,
- Foster care dependent (past or present), and/or
- Having low self-esteem.
SERVICES
- Support groups for middle and high school students
- 12-week curriculum (Fall and Spring)
- Program for students who identify as LGBTQIA
- Program for students who have been raped/molested;
- Program for students who have been in foster care; and
- Program for students who have low self-esteem.
- One-on-one mentoring for middle and high school students.
- 6-week summer program starting June 2018. Applications will be available in April.
- 12-week curriculum (Fall and Spring)
- Safe Zone Training for parents of color and other adults who want to understand and support LGBTQIA youth of color.
- Professional development trainings for teachers and staff.
- Community Workshops.
